RSS is something that has been puzzling me for some time. I am working away at fully understanding syndication and when I do, I sure won’t keep it a secret! The dictionary meaning springs from two Greek words meaning “with justice”. Hmm not much help there. Newspapers have syndicated writers – meaning their columns are republished all over the country – or world for that matter.
That’s a little more helpful – being published all over the place is just what a blogger wants
In a blog we have the mysterious RSS which means “Really Simple Syndication” according to some and “Rich Site Summary”.
For now just take it that RSS means that you have less work to do when you write a blog post – RSS does the heavy lifting of making a summary of your post and republishing throughout the web.
The more viewers your posts get the more traffic you are going to get…which translates into greater earnings. OK I admit there’s a couple of assumptions in that chain of reasoning
Bear that in mind as you watch this short video. It is narrated by C harles Heflin – an expert in web traffic and SEO/ Web 2.0. I have watched this guy for a couple of years and always found him to be spot on.
What this short video, (which is well worth watching a few time – Charles packs a lot into a few words) emphasises – is the power of blogs. They are automatically built with an RSS system which if used with the power of leverage of web 2.o will grow blog traffic automatically
More on this absorbing stuff soon

Expertise comes in many shapes.
You could be an expert writer, coder or designer or you could be an expert at sales or marketing – Dean’s point is that your expertise will win when pitted against those with less skill.
As an ex college teacher I agree. It has puzzled me that so many people in Internet Marketing seem to believe in “Lady Luck” and not in education.
They spend months, years and lots of hard earned money on products and systems that make big promises…mostly along the lines of, “We’ve found a loophole…” or “We have a ‘Turn Key’ Solution” or some other variety of nonsense.
The truth is that effectiveness in any field is limited by our skill set and mind set. To be more effective and earn more we either have to learn extra skills or team up with someone who has the skill we lack.
And of all the skills we need online the major one is list-building. Having the skill of being able to send an email and earn more money than most folks earn in a month seems exactly what most would be entrepreneurs would give their right arm for.
And that’s why Kathy Baker – an expert business coach and myself, an expert teacher and trainer created a programme – called “Expert List-building” that focuses on building your opt-in list.
So we agree with the “Dean” – “Terry Dean” – to be exact, “Expertise Equals Income” and we advise newcomers to Internet business to put list-building at the heart of their efforts.
Learn the skills and mindset needed…
And then YOU can send the email…that earns a monthly salary.
That’s what I call “a passive income”
