Google Adwords is known to be a fast way to get eyeballs on a site.
You can get a campaign going in 15 minutes and this is behind lots of overheated advertising copy. But usually we don’t think of Adwords as a way to build a list.
Speakers at Internet Marketing conferences are always being asked, “How can I get free traffic?” This is a reasonable question. In the beginning of our online career we don’t have much to put towards advertising. But it’s a shame that we don’t get started with Adwords sooner.
I am as guilty of advising Internet beginners to stay away from Adwords as anyone and I’m going to be doing more PPC in the near future so let’s start with some info from Google.
To do well on Adwords you just have to follow Google’s guidelines and here is an explanation of how ads work. Warning – there is some “math” involved!
Google operates a kind of pricing for Adwords that includes not just how much you are willing to pay but also how good the ads are.
This is good for us if we prepare properly
And if we can get such targeted traffic at a low cost we can build a well focused list quickly and with little effort.
