Article marketing seems to be in the air again.
A few days ago I discussed easy steps to take to get into action with article writing and a couple of days after that I heard Jeff Herring (The Article Guy) discussing repurposing articles.
Doesn’t that sound enthralling? Not!!
What Jeff means is that once you have done the creative bit and produced an article – why not get the most out of it?
After you have an article written sitting innocently on your desk (or disc) minding it’s own business in the way that all good articles do, well then, you can
- submit it to an article directory
- collect it with other articles into an ebook
- Sell it as PLR
- submit to a PDF directory
- turn into an exe Ebook
- turn into a widget
- Publish it as a Squidoo Lens
- blog it
- and that RSSs it automatically
- Use the text for a radio spot / blogtalk radio
- read it and podcast it
- convert the file to a CD
- convert the article to a PowerPoint presentation
- turn that into a screensaver
- Use CAMTASIA and turn the presentation into a video
- er…Jeff kept going for about 21 items
Any bright ideas to add to this list please do!
Let’s see if we can beat him eh?
And then I noticed a post by Andrew Hansen…
Andrew Hansen has used Article Marketing to great effect. In a guest post at Problogger he reveals just how he used a very particular keyword and linking strategy to create and build traffic to a blog
I won’t go over it here – I think it deserves a full reading. Note particularly how he does the “Bio Box” of the articles he submits to Article directories.
I discussed how to write Bio boxes properly way back when I wrote “Right Article Marketing”. I was and remain critical of how most people fail with the most critical part of the article – the so called “Bio Box” - but I think the way Andrew describes in his post is perhaps better.
You cannot afford to neglect Article Marketing!
- I have given you the Baby Steps to get started
- Jeff has given you an amazing recycling system
- Andrew has revealed a powerful way to drive huge traffic
At the end of his talk Jeff said, “You gotta have guts”
What???
“Go Use This Stuff”
It takes G.U.T.S. to succeed – reading don’t do it, action does!
